It’s no secret by now that Sony not only announced a $50 price cut for the PS3, but also revealed it’s PS3 Slim yesterday. The lucky folks at Engadget got a surprising knock on their door from some Sony reps with a PS3 Slim for them to review and ogle over. Being the kind group that they are, they’re sharing it with the rest of the world.

Rumors of a Slim PS3 are all but confirmed as it’s shown up on Kmart’s web site available for pre-order for $300. Specs on the new gaming console includes Blu-ray, a 120GB hard disk, DualShock3 controller, and HDMI output with 1080p support. Hopefully, there will be an official announcement today at Gamescon.
